Deadlines and Holidays

To keep all your deadlines visible to everyone, add milestones to your timeline.

To add a milestone:

  1. Click on a date in header you wish to add a milestone to
  2. Add a name that's easy to understand for everyone
  3. Choose a colour to know what project the milestone belongs to at a glance

In Project View

In project view, you can choose if you wish to add the milestone for just one project or turn it global. The latter means the milestone is visible in every timeline, whereas project-specific timelines are only visible in that project timeline.

In Team View

In teams view, you can also choose if you wish to add the milestone only to one team, or turn it global, so it's visible to everyone.

Turn Milestones into Company-Wide Holidays

If you want to, you can turn your milestones into holidays with choosing the option "Turn Into Holiday" in the milestone popup. Company-wide milestones stand out because they look a bit different.

National Holidays

If you want to turn on national holidays, that option is available for each user separately and is displayed in the user's swim-lane, because it gives a better overview of time off. To turn on national holidays, go to User Settings, select "Edit User" and choose the country for national holidays from the list.
Supported locations at the moment: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States

Vacation and Time Off

You can add vacations for your team by using our Time Off feature!
This feature provides a clear overview of who’s available and who’s not on Time off view and Team timelines. You can also see a conflict warning when work is scheduled for someone who is unavailable.
Time off is a Business plan feature.

Sharing Your Timelines

When you share your timeline to any outside party — feature used to keep your clients or colleagues informed of all relevant updates —, make sure to choose which milestones you would like them to see. When sharing the timeline, you can exclude all global milestones to either keep some things undisclosed from people who do not need to know everything you're up to. Or simply keep the focus on only the most relevant deadlines in that project.

Pro tip: You can also turn that milestone into a Holiday. This is great when you have company-wide important dates you need to keep an eye on.
